Welcome Autumn

The boys have fall break this whole week so we went to the Butterfly Pavillion on Monday and the kids were just in heaven looking at all the bugs. Fox and Mason held the tirantula (Rosie)! They got to "pet" star fish and hermit crabs but they ask you not to pet the butterflies.
Here they are learning as they go through a maze about the life of a butterfly.

At the park, getting all their wiggles out. It was 80 degrees out and beautiful!
Here are the twins. Seperated by five years. He just eats her up and she loves it.

not hide and go seek

Tonight at bedtime, we COULD NOT find Cooper. We were looking all around the house, wondering if he had gone outside to play (in the dark - yikes) or maybe he was hiding. We had just seen him ten minutes before...

Finally, on the second lap around the house, Sarah found him snuggled up under the computer desk. phew. crisis averted.

Riding

Bits of Life

We spent Saturday morning digging up fenceposts. This one proved especially difficult. It was about twice as big as the others, and it also had "Bryan 9/90" set in the top. 19 years in the ground was long enough.

Mason and Fox worked REALLY hard digging up this small tree. They earned this photo:

Don't you use a hammer in the kitchen?

I don't have the energy to title all of these excerpts from our little trip.

Utah!!

We got out of the car at the top of the mountain to take this picture and in five minutes we were dripping with sweat. sooooooooo hot. I thought we could take a break from swimming and go on a fun, family hike. hehe. Not in August in St. George!

Nate and Darli came down with Neve and Giacomo. They never got enough swimming!

First Day of School!

Mom is out of town, but was sure to check in on the phone with the new school goer.

When you ask Cooper to "go stand by the tree so I can take your picture"
this is what you get:

SO, I couldn't decide - in front of the tree? or in front of the house? You decide!

We made it to school alive and on time

Mason isn't quite sure about his new classroom, but he seemed ok with it

Playing

I had one chance to take this priceless picture and the second I took it they scrambled. I plan on doing this shot more throughout the years.
That Cooper can never be too far away from Summer. He is infatuated with her!

This is a sign of a good, fun filled day.

Swimmmmm

Fox is running through the little fountain in our old town Arvada. The kids loved sitting on the holes thinking that the shooting water would launch them high into the sky but no such luck. All they got was wet.
At the "beach" ( Penelope likes to put quotes around it because its not a REAL beach ( beach snob;))) The water was sooooo cold because it's a mountain lake. They loved making pools in the sand.

The little ones are having a rest on the warm sidewalk. We found the perfect water park for our kids under eight. Everything was miniature so they had a blast.

Summer was mad. She came all ready to dive in and we wouldn't let her.
